OUR STORY
It Started With a Sunburn.
More than 30 years ago, a simple day at the beach with my two young sons changed the course of my life.
I couldn’t reach the middle of my back to apply sunscreen, and I ended up with a severe sunburn. That uncomfortable experience left me asking a very simple question:
Why wasn’t there an easy way to apply skincare products to the places you couldn’t reach?
That question became an idea. And that idea became Southern Exposure.
From an Idea to an American-Made Product
From Consumer Retail to Professional Skincare
Southern Exposure’s applicator also found a place in professional skincare. For approximately five years, our applicator was packaged with BenzEFoam®, a prescription back-acne treatment, providing patients with a way to apply topical treatment to difficult-to-reach areas of the back.
That experience became an important part of Southern Exposure’s evolution and helped shape the professional and dermatology solutions we continue to develop today.
